Requirements

We welcome all female or non-binary individuals of all backgrounds and experiences to join us for the ultimate recruitment experience - bring your friends! Recruitment is a time when those interested in Sigma Psi Zeta (SYZ) can come out to meet SYZters, ask questions, have fun, and eat snacks! SYZ recruitment events are non-binding, and does not mean you are obligated to join an intake class. To be considered for a bid, all interests must:
  1. Attend at least TWO recruitment events (not including GIM)
  2. Attend at least ONE GIM (General Interest Meeting)
  3. Attend ONE MGC 101 (also known as Huskers Against Hazing Workshop)
  4. Have a Cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher (as a first semester Freshman, a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7 is required from your high school transcript).
  5. Complete ONE written application, which can be obtained from any recruitment event or any active SYZters, and must be returned by the end of the recruitment period

Interviews will be scheduled for interests who complete all of the previous requirements. Please dress business casual for GIM's. All events are free and transportation can be provided. For more information, please contact us at syz.xichapter@gmail.com or check our Facebook for more details.
